Company search engine Google will begin to look the development of renewable energy. Beginning in May 2010, Google has just put its investment worth U.S. $ 38.8 million in two wind power projects in North Dakota, United States. Wind power project was built by NextExtra Energy Resources, a subsidiary of FPL Group Inc. of electricity. Florida-based company is always better known as Florida Power & Light.
In a project worth 190 million U.S. dollars, Google is not the only investor. There is also a Peace Garden Wind LLC. Google itself contributed turbines made by General Electric Co. winds. Turbines are able to raise the energy of 169.5 MW to around 55,000 homes. According to Jamie Yood, a spokesman for Google, this project represents Google's first projects in renewable energy.
