Uncovered the Secret of Happiness Gene

Scientists from the London School of Economics and Political Science, United Kingdom have successfully identified a gene trigger a sense of happiness which is called the 5-HTT. Genes are happy to help nerve cells to recycle the compound serotonin, known to relate to mood and depression.

The study mentions 5-HTT is present in the form of 'old' and 'short'. Individuals who have two kinds of variants of the 'old', one from each parent, tend to have many more happy gene content of the other combinations. The smaller the feeling of happiness is for people born with two types of short genes .

"It has long been suspected that the 5-HTT plays an important role in human mental health, but this is the first study that could explain this gene," said Jan-Emmanuel De Neve from London School of Economics and Political Science, who led the study.

"Our results reveal the relationship between happiness and the 5-HTT gene," he added. The results are reported in the Journal of Human Genetics. For this study, scientists analyzed the genetic data of about 2,500 people.  "Finding this gene helps us to explain why some people tend to be happier than others," said Jan-Emmanuel.

Latest Console Xbox 360

Successor to the Xbox 360 console was allegedly being developed by Microsoft. In fact, prototypes of the console reportedly already reached the party game developer, Electronic Arts, which had the honor to test the console. Newer hardware that reportedly has been sent to EA, last April. Given its design is still raw, the console casing so that it does not have to be in a PC.

"We quite often receive a new console that is stored in the PC package. When we look at it, we just know it is a new console,"said one senior employee of EA. Last March, sticking speculation that Microsoft is in the early stages of developing a successor to the Xbox 360 a phenomenal success. Because the Xbox Concole Architecture Group had put job advertisements such as Graphics Hardware and Performance Engineer. New employee is believed to be responsible to "make the concept and create the next generation consoles" as stated in the ad.

No information could be obtained related to these brand-new console specifications. However, Develop indicated when this brand-new Xbox will feature support for the motion sensor Kinect, with some changes. Since launched in May 2005, there were 52 million units of Xbox consoles have been sold. The addition of an innovative motion sensor Kinect, last November, successfully increasing attractiveness Xbox.

Ocean is on Saturn

Could Saturn's largest moon, Titan, has a giant ocean below its surface? At least this is the opinion of the researchers from the Royal Observatory of Belgium in Brussels. The team used radar from the space shuttle from NASA's Cassini to 'peek' behind the thin atmosphere of Titan. They found some parts of Titan's surface shifted to 19 miles. According to them, this shift is due to Titan's surface is above the liquid form of water and ammonia.

Besides Earth, Titan is known to have liquid on its surface. If the alleged 'underground ocean' is proven true, this will increase the chances of that month had a life. Not only that, based on data transmitted by Cassini, Titan's rotation axis is also experiencing a shift to 0.3 degrees. According to the research team, this shift in the axis of rotation to be evidence that Titan is not completely made of hard or solid material.

Titan would allegedly have a shell of ice that is above sea water, ice caps and the center of the frozen and rocky planets. One researcher, Rose-Marie Baland, said, "These findings turn from what we know about the planets and other satellites as well as the process of planet formation."

However, researchers also consider other possibilities if Titan was hit by a comet or asteroid recently, causing the rotational axis shift. But apparently they are still determined to prove that Titan is hiding a giant ocean below its surface. They indicated that the sea has a depth of 3 to 265 miles.

"Our analysis strengthens the possibility that the ocean beneath Titan's surface stores. But it was not yet certain. So there are still many job we had to do," said Marie.

iOS was in Top Position

A recent study showed two-thirds of respondents believe that it is impossible for Microsoft, RIM, HP, and Nokia to shift the position of Apple and Google. Surveys conducted among developers shows, the developers say the phenomenon of 'cloud mobile', have a tendency toward a promising mobility connected partly to address the problem of fragmentation and change the relationship between business and customers.

Android enthusiasts rather loose after the developers disappointed from the initial tablet sales have caused developers to pull back from their enthusiasm for Google's mobile OS. In a survey of more than 2,700 Appcelerator developers around the world, nearly two-thirds of respondents believe that it is impossible for Microsoft, RIM, HP, and Nokia to reverse the momentum of relative to Apple and Google.

Apple the iOS remain high where 91 percent of developers said they were 'very interested in iPhone development and 86 percent are very interested in developing for the iPad. While Android phones go down 2 points to 85 percent and tablets Android fell 3 points to 71 percent.

How about you? whether also like to iOS?

Apple's Record of the Location of the Users?

After Google admitted that the Android phone is recording some information on the location of its users, now everyone is awaiting confirmation from Apple that tripped a similar problem. Already a week after the case was rolling really Apple that has not only provided relevant comments on these findings. Usually, Apple's most famous quick to respond if there are concerns affecting their products.

Well, recently broke the news that Apple CEO Steve Jobs gives his comments directly related to the location data recorded users of the iPhone and iPad theirs. But unfortunately, this comment occurs informally, because it's Steve Jobs to give an answer by email which is the reply from one of its users.

In one email the iPhone users unidentified asked, "Is it true that you are recording our data, and I beg you not to do". "Oh sure we do not record your data. All the news that circulated was a hoax," as noted by Steve Jobs via email. Of course the answer email from Steve Jobs is still doubt about the truth. And the parties are very waiting for a reply Steve Jobs formal course.

LTE to Reach Remote Schools

Deutsche Telekom and Nokia Siemens Networks have jointly demonstrated the benefits of more than Long Term Evolution (LTE) in the 800 MHz spectrum as a tool to reach students at schools in remote areas. Initiative 'Class Fly' or 'Flying Classroom' is the idea of Corporate Social Responsibility program Nokia Siemens Networks allows the students to take part in video communication and send the tasks from a distance education to teachers and partner schools.

Children Under Age Have Social Networking Profiles

According to a recent survey of the European Commission (EC), the number of children who use social networking sites have increased. In fact, 50 percent of children aged 9 to 12 years in the UK already have a profile. EC expressing overall, 43 respondents who had their young have a survey on social networking profiles. Especially for the age group 13 to 16 years and even increased to 88 percent.

Results of a survey of 25 thousand young people across Europe, one in 10 respondents claimed to have a public profile, in which one-fifth claimed to display the address and phone number.  Age group 9 to 12 years were more likely to display their important information in the public domain. But only half of respondents aged 11 and 12 years claimed to understand how to change the privacy settings in various social media.

The results of this survey clearly worrying, given the fragility of young Internet users. "The number of children who access social networks increases, but most of them have not done the necessary steps to protect themselves," said Neelie Kroes as EU commissioner for the digital agenda.  "All social networking sites should immediately restrict access to the profile of these children only to the list of contacts that has been approved as well as through search engines," said Neelie Kroes.

Neelie Kroes also appealed to the sites that have not been registered in the European Union regulations relating to use of social networking is safe to immediately register.  In 2009, 17 companies including Bebo, Google and YouTube, Microsoft Europe, Myspace and Yahoo Europe have enrolled in these regulations in order to improve the security of social networking users under the age of 18.

Rising Sea Temperatures of Fish Mortality

A study shows that rising sea temperatures at random in some parts of the world are able to reduce the population, inhibits growth, increases stress and the risk of fish mortality. The study was based on peneilitan Australian scientists, who focused on Morwong fish species in the Tasman Sea, which lies between Australia and New Zealand.

The scientists found that fish growth Morwong in some areas has slowed down after sea temperatures rise 2 degrees Celsius over the last 60 years in the Tasman Sea, one of the earth in the southern part of the level of the seawater temperature rises fast enough.

Effect of temperature changes also affect other types of fish and coral reefs, which causes a loss in fisheries sector. "Normally, cold-blooded animals respond to warm conditions with increasing growth as temperature rises,"said Ron thresher from the research agency CSIRO. "Through this research, we found evidence of slower growth and rising levels of stress in fish that live in the sea with a temperature threshold," said Ron.

Found a Lot of Ice in Mars' South Pole

NASA found that the south polar region of Mars has ice that are 30 times more than previous estimates. These findings suggest that the red planet was wetter than scientists previously estimated. By taking the data through the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter, scientists found an ancient carbon dioxide trapped in ice. These results add to evidence that Mars has an atmosphere with carbon dioxide and water are slim.

"Great ice mass has reached 12,500 cubic km, equal to the contents of Lake Superior, the largest lake in North America," said NASA. "Previously we already know that the thin levels of carbon dioxide in the ice surface of mars, but this discovery also adds information that the amount of ice that was there was 30 times larger than previously thought," said Roger Phillips of Southwest Research Institute in Boulder , Colorado.

Japan Succeeded In Making The Retina

Researchers from Japan managed to make the retina of mouse embryonic stem cells. According to researchers at the RIKEN Center for Developmental Biology, Kobe, Japan, the retina is a complex biological networks that they made.

The network developed is not merely the retina, but complete with optic cup, an organ consisting of two layers of the retina and the outer layer of pigmented cells that provide nutrients and support the retina and the cells are sensitive to light. Latter cells that transmit information to the brain.

At the time of manufacture, the embryonic stem cells in a mixture of nutrients and protein. The cells develop into retinal cells. Initially, only cells develop into a series of early retinal cells, but then slowly evolved into a complete optic cup. It occurs naturally in embryonic development.

Scientists are still unable to ascertain whether this artificial retina can transmit correct information to the brain of rats. "This is what will we studied further," said the researcher. If there is no problem, scientists will switch to the manufacture of human retinal stem cells from humans as well.

If successful in human trials, the means available to safely retina transplanted to humans. "Healing for many types of blindness," scientists explained. However, still it took several years
